True worship is… practicing Sath Guru’s word

Dear Member Friends,

We, from the desk of Sri Viswa Viznana Vidya Adhyathmika Peetham wish you all “Happy Guru Purnima”.  Taittiriya Upanishad says, ”Maathru devo bhava| Pithru devo bhava| Aacharya devo bhava| Athithi devo bhava|”. Mother, father, Guru and guest are forms of God and they must be honored. Through parents, we got this human life. That life is illuminated and liberated by the grace and blessings of Sath Guru. We can never repay back the love and compassion shown by our parents and Sath Guru.

In ‘Guru Gita’ a dialogue is there between Shiva and Shakti

GURU BRAHMAA GURU VISHNU
GURU DEVO MAHESHVARAH
GURU SAAKSHAATH PARA BRAHMA
TASMAI SHREE SATH GURAVE NAMAH

Guru is like Brahma -The creator; Guru is like Vishnu -The preserver; Guru is like Maheswara-The destroyer; Guru is verily the supreme reality; Sublime prostrations to him.

‘Gu’ means Darkness, ‘Ru’ means Remover. Guru removes ignorance and enlightens lives. Guru Purnima is a festival of commemorating Gurus. We respect our Gurus by performing puza like offering flowers, Prasad, gifts etc., People show their respect in many ways. They fall on Guru’s feet, perform several rituals. That’s all pertaining to physical level. The important factor is our “Mind”. Sath Guru always sees our state of mind and how we are adhering to Dharma and his preaching. Omnipresent Sath Guru knows everything. He never gives importance to projected selves. He dwells deep into our hearts and identifies true disciples. Then…What is the real devotion?

Real disciples are those who follow Guru’s word and his preaching. They will never fall apart in crisis. They adhere to Dharma. Their integrity is intact at all times. That’s why Sath Guru always says, “Yath Bhavam Thath Bhavathi”.  People behave as per their mind. You are what you think. Hence showing true respect towards your Guru is to follow his preaching.  A human being is an integration of body, mind and soul. Our Sath Guru ordered us to practice “Thrayi Sadhana” which deals with all the three levels of a human. The physical level is handled through Mantra Sadhana, mind through Gnana Sadhana and soul through Dhyana Sadhana.

So, dear friends, on this holy Guru Purnima, let us vow to practice ardently Thrayi sadhana along with serving our fellow human beings and nature to attain liberation within this physical.

Thanking you.

Yours spiritually,

Renuka Devi Vangara
